If I could place a zero I would
I purchased this beautiful wireless pet fence...well actually I purchased the black one but was sent the white one. This thing has never worked properly and I mean never. Maybe it's defective. I am a computer engineer and I know that it is defective. While in fence mode and on 99, my dog gets no warning, the device just shocks her when she is only 6 feet away from the transmitter. And I am not exaggerating. I love my dog so much that I took it off of her and had my kid test it. My dog trembles when she sees the thing. I won't even try to resell it because it will hurt someone else's dog. Do you guys test these things before sending them out? I would like to return it to the company so that you can test it yourself and then hopefully you will do the right thing. #BOB5XGJL5T
Human or Collar Malfunction?
The training mode works perfect, I have zero complaints there, and only good thing to say about that mode. The boundary mode though seems to be a bit glitchy and not provide an accurate boundary. I have multiple factors that come in the play though, for example my yard is pretty steep, so it seems to malfunction when I've taken the collar downhill (I tested it on myself first). Then again it may be human error and I need to do more perimeter walking to figure it out a bit better before I feel safe putting it on my dog.
Stopped disruptive behavior
I have a dog that keeps yapping. I have tried several remedies and this really gets her attention. I only use the vibration. On level 1 and she goes to lay down. She really loves attention and is very vocal about it. My wife has a home daycare and it has been hard for to talk to clients with my dog yapping and demanding attention. With this, she is learning that this is inappropriate behavior.
Great training options
Purchased this product for additional training for 8 month old puppy. We don't have a fenced in yard and this has been beneficial in helping her learn her boundaries. She also has a bad habit of cleaning up after her big brothers and this collar is helping to curb that craving. I love that this collar has the three training options with the tone, the vibrate and the shock and the different intensity level offered. She is learning very quickly and we have not even used the shock level. Also with the 3 channels, there's opportunity to train three dogs with the same remote.
