The first time we used it for our Pomeranian she wasn't sure about it, and wanted out. The next time she snugged in right off, and was content for quite awhile. I do find she needs to get out and walk around if the ride is too long, however, it is comfortable, and the fit is perfect for her size (5 lbs and very fuzzy). It is easy to install, and fits well on the console, even for smaller cars. Overall, we are pleased.
